What was the biggest inspiration for you before starting your own brand?

My inspiration has always come from the desire to transform the beauty industry by creating a luxurious and personalized experience for clients. I wanted to transform the salon experience – which is why I created the first day spa in America at Bergdorf.

Your earliest memory of receiving excellent service?

My earliest memory of receiving excellent service dates back to my childhood in Aix-en-Provence, France. The attention to detail and the way the staff made clients feel truly special left a lasting impression on me – and it was something that I had not yet seen applied to the salon world.

Hidden gems in New York? I have a soft spot for the quaint cafes in Greenwich Village. These charming spots, away from the hustle and bustle, offer a serene escape where I can gather my thoughts and find inspiration.

Your favorite products in your line?

It’s challenging to pick favorites, but currently, the Fekkai products that stand out to me are our Apple Cider Detox scalp scrub and our Super Strength collection. These products have immediate, long-lasting results and I am proud to say that these all received Allure Best of Beauty awards for 2023. They truly reflect our dedication to both style and hair health.

For aspiring entrepreneurs, my advice is to stay true to your vision and never compromise on quality.
